Representatives from Charterhouse Club are looking forward to attending the 2018 Sport Godalming Sports Awards. The prestigious annual awards will be held at the Wilfred Noyce Centre on Friday the 26th October at 7pm. The awards are held annually to recognise local sporting achievement and celebrate the passion local people have for sport. Anyone interested in watching the awards ceremony can attend the event.
Nominations for 16 exciting categories, including the Charterhouse Club Sports Personality of the Year, are now closed. Other categories include Outstanding Service to Sport, Cycling Award, Volunteer of the Year and more.
Tim Ostle, Commercial Director at Charterhouse said: “I look forward to presenting the Sports Personality of the Year with the Charterhouse Club Shield. It will go to an inspirational individual who has shown great passion and determination throughout their sporting career.
“This is a very special award and last year it went to Laura Merrifield for her outstanding performance in Lacrosse. This year there have been many nominations for this award and I know that it is a tough decision for the judges when it comes to selecting an overall winner.”
All those who have been short-listed for the local awards have been invited to attend the ceremony to celebrate. Winners will automatically be entered into the 2018 Surrey Sports Awards, where judges will decide who deserves the honour of being named the best in Surrey.
